Career Coaching for Autistic Tech Professionals
Working with a career coach is the most reliable approach for self empowerment. Yet, many professionals with autism neglect this tactic, often citing difficulties in being truly understood.

Working with a career coaching who specilaises in autism (through personal experience) is a great way to explore your full potential and turn obstacles into opportunities. Crush job interviews, grow your professional capability, and climb the career ladder.
My process
1
Your life, your goals
Our starting point is getting to know who you are and what you envision for your life over the next few years. Many people make the mistake of focussing on learning a specific technology, or aiming for a certain job.

However, these approaches only work in the short term, often leaving people to feeling the same in the long run.
Happiness is only experienced when we’re moving towards a meaningful objective. Hence, the crucial first step involves building a vision for your future. Only then can we dive into how your career can help you achieve your life goals.
2
Temperment review
Have you ever thought about why you’re interested in certain subjects? Or considered the reasons why you disliked certain past jobs?

A temperament review helps shed light on your core preferences.
While this isn’t meant to summarise you with 100% accuracy, these tools help you better understand situations that may boost or drain your energy.
Together, we’ll navigate through an assessment to spark conversations about your preference, strengths, and potential areas of growth.
3
Identfy areas of growth
Once we’ve covered your goals and your authentic self, it’s time to start analysing your opportunities.
What are your biggest opportunities for improvement? What specific goals are tied to these areas, such as career advancement, or lifestyle benefits?
Finally, we’ll turn the above into small, manageable chunks and strategise how to overcome any and all obstacles in your path.
My background
I’m Adrian, I was diagnosed with Aspergers in 2013, while already undertaking a high-pressured technical management position. I was given a long list of things I shouldn’t do. They said I should be left alone, not bothered, simply allowed to focus on tasks. They explicitly stated I should avoid people management and generally situations that would pose interpersonal challenges In essence their suggestion was to have me 'wrapped in cotton wool'.
The outlook this painted for my life was disheartening. Determined to prove them wrong, I’ve not only overcome those challenges, but have had a successful career helping others do the same. With over 15 years of tech leadership, I’ve hired and led hundreds of people and conducted thousands of hours of coaching for some of the biggest and most demanding organizations in the world.
Fascinated by the human mind, my side passion in life is psychology and I’ve been fortunate enough to put hundreds of hours of study into real life practise. My fascination with the human mind and psychology, I’ve had the opportunity to not only immerse myself in my passion, but to also apply it in countless real-world scenarios. It was all far from easy, and I made many mistakes along the way, but during this time I discovered a passion for helping people grow.
My coaching style
Many focus on how to avoid difficult circumstances. They advocate for the elimination of obstacles rather than guiding you to overcome them.
In my view, these common approaches are harmful and strip us of chances to develop.
There's no template here; we work together to identify opportunities for growth and create plans to achieve it.
